Shrinking the Serpentine rock by casting a porcelain copy and high-firing. A glaze casting mould is made from the small Serpentine porcelain copy.
First succesful multiple-part glaze cast using a mock-up Serptentine glaze.

I want to go bigger.
Alginate layer to capture the texture.
Modroc layer on top of the alginate to keep the shape.

Every side is cast separately.
A plaster copy is cast from each of the alginate sides.
All the plaster sides are assembled using plaster, glass fiber and polystyrene.
The plaster rock is cleaned up and carved back to look like the original rock.
