Alice Fyles (b. 1996 Limerick Ireland, raised in Norrtälje Sweden) is a ceramic artist and researcher based in the United Kingdom. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Design from Central St. Martins and a MFA in Ceramic Craft from Konstfack.
Her practice explores the origin, transformation and relationships of materials through ceramic sculptures and processes, creating work that invites audiences to consider the life of matter.
Fyles is the developer of High Fire Glaze Casting, a new process that adapts glass-casting techniques to ceramic glaze. Developed during her MFA and further refined during a two-year ceramics residency at UCA Farnham, the process allows glaze to become an independent sculptural body rather than a surface applied to clay.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the 15th Westerwald Prize Ceramics of Europe, Stockholm Craft Week, Thrown Contemporary, and Galleri Helle Knudsen. In 2026, her work will be presented as part of the Young Sculptor Award at Doddington Hall.
