An introduction to Clay, and sort of, not really, almost, Clay. (2024)

A visual and material exploration of the essence of clay and its relationship to geological materials. The work is made with foraged clays, pushing them towards ceramics, glaze, glass, sand, rock and magma. The sculptures created from this process inhabit an in between space, where they don’t quite meet up to become any of the aforementioned materials. Or in other words, what we expect from these materials. The work consists of sculptures, photographs and an artist book.
